Declaration of Principles
Forever out of print.
The Declaration of Principles is widely considered the strongest single piece of writing from the five year history of Babylon 5.

It has been used as the centerpiece of marriage ceremonies and religious festivals, at churches and synagogues and fan gatherings.

At a time and in a culture often divided and at odds with itself on a hundred different subjects, the Declaration of Principles sounds a clarion call for unity, proclaims the value of each voice, and reminds us of the single greatest truth to emerge from Babylon 5: that we are one.

This print, with a limited edition run of only 500, was released on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 10:00am Pacific.

Frequently Asked Questions
You say each one will be signed and numbered. What do you mean by "signed"? Will it say, for example "To John"?
These are signed which means that J. Michael Straczynski is personally signing his full name to each one. The term to describe the "To John" scenario is inscribed. These are not sent inscribed.

Can I get it inscribed?
Yes and no. The print you receive will simply be signed as we just noted. It's not possible to have them inscribed before they are framed and shipped.

That said, when JMS is making a personal appearance, you are welcome to bring your print and JMS will happily (even joyfully) inscribe it on the back. The entire back is sealed with a white fiberboard-type material that makes it especially well-suited for signing. (See what the back of the framed print looks like below.)

When you say that after this 500 print run it's gone...what do you really mean? Sometimes collectibles are re-issued but just not numbered or signed.
We mean that this iteration is done. Finito. Never again. Ever.

Now there's an important caveat here: we do plan to continue to issue Declaration of Principles related merchandise (cards, t-shirts and the like), and it's possible there could even be another signed and numbered Declaration of Principles print way, way, down the road with a completely different design. But this look, this feel, this rendition or anything that looks even remotely similar is kaput and will never be seen again on a framed print. And you know JMS. When he says something is done it's done.

When will I know what number I got?
Despite all our technology the candid answer is when you open the shipping box. Because folks can cancel orders, have credit card issues and the like we can't be certain exactly what number you are going to get until it is actually shipped.

Is it ready for hanging when I receive it?
Yes - have a hammer and nail ready when UPS arrives, because it's ready to hang! See what the back of the framed print looks like below.
